One second after zooming in or out, the viewer will dim high frequency images.
Eye of Gnome is dimming my image when it should not.
It is easily observed by using a very high frequency image, and zoom in / zoom out on it.
One second after you stop zooming, the viewer will dim some pixels. (In my particular case: half of the image, where the high-frequency content is.)
To see the effect in action: see this video. The video also shows how GIMP shows the image just fine, without dimming.
