No way to unhide when started with --start-hidden
Submitted by Johannes Rohr
I want to autostart empathy in hidden mode on startup, however, and it does in fact start hidden with empathy --start-hidden, however, after that, there is no way to unhide it. According to ps, it is running, but whatever I do, it won't become visible. (tried: executing "empathy" once more in the console, tried to launch it from favourites, tried to launch it from the overview.)
In earlier versions of gnome, empathy ran like a service in the background, so that I was reachable at any time, however, now it only seems to work if the program window is visible. To me this greatly reduces its usefulness.
