Backwards compatible API calls update for Poppler 22.06 and 22.09.

Perform version checks to use the appropriate calls depending on whether Poppler version is below, in or after the 22.06 - 22.09 interval.

I built this successfully in my machine (which has Poppler 22.08) and in a PPA (with Poppler 22.12).

Replaces !88 (closed).
