Zoom In/Zoom Out removes all text elements in the GUI
Hello,
After upgrading from Debian 11.7 to Debian 12, dia became unusable. Removing ~/.dia/ did not solve the issue for me.
Text elements get killed when zooming in or zooming out. And dia runs pretty slow.
I also tried to compile the lastest dia source code from the fit repository and the issues is the same.
The terminal gets populated with these error messages when resizing an image:
(dia:166108): Pango-WARNING **: 14:30:27.494: failed to create cairo scaled font, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'Noto Sans 156402.587890625'
(dia:166108): Pango-WARNING **: 14:30:27.494: font_face status is: error occurred in libfreetype
(dia:166108): Pango-WARNING **: 14:30:27.494: scaled_font status is: error occurred in libfreetype
(dia:166108): Pango-WARNING **: 14:30:27.567: failed to create cairo scaled font, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'Noto Sans 131518.3349609375'
(dia:166108): Pango-WARNING **: 14:30:27.567: font_face status is: error occurred in libfreetype
(dia:166108): Pango-WARNING **: 14:30:27.567: scaled_font status is: error occurred in libfreetype
Downgrading from dia in Debian 12 (dia 0.97.3+git20220525-5) to dia from Debian 11 (dia_0.97.3+git20160930-9) solves the issue, but this is not a sustainable solution.
