at-spi-bus-launcher : XIO: fatal IO error
I have built a Ubuntu 18.04.5 laptop on a Lenovo P53. The auth is linked to a corporate AD with SSSD. When attempting a domain login, about 75% of the time, the login hangs for several minutes, then the screen turns black, and returns to the greater. Once in a while, the user is able to login.
In syslog, there is always at-spi-bus-launcher fatal errors along with the gnome-session unrecoverable failure.

Removing the package at-spi2-core from the laptop makes it possible to login without having login crashes. This is unconvenient because other packages depend on this one, such as nautilus.
Can you provide guidance ? Either another workaround or a better way to troubleshoot what is going on with at-spi-bus-launcher? Thank you
