There are mockups in the app-mockups repo and there is an ongoing discussion about the design of the waveform in Github issues

Dependencies not included in GNOME runtime

None. Only GStreamer, but that is in the GNOME runtime. Some GStreamer plugins may be required to load exotic file types.

1. Clone the app git clone https://github.com/vixalien/decibels/ --recurse-submodules
2. Open the app in GNOME Builder and click "Run"

Planned features

The following features are not implemented yet but are planned to be added until inclusion into Core/Development:

No new features are planned right now, but there are some interesting features talked about in the design issue at Teams/Design/app-mockups#96 (closed):

• Simple metadata editing (title, comment, etc)
• Automatic transcriptions, similar to what Live Captions does
• Lightweight editing (e.g. trimming, equalizing loudness, exporting to different formats)
